Summer Playlist 2014

Hello Everyone!
So I mentioned in my last post, ‘summer fun,’ that one thing on my summer bucketlist was to make a summer playlist. The idea of a smear playlist is that you make a playlist at the start of summer full of lost of exciting energetic songs to give you the feel good summer experience. It’s a playlist for you to listen to when you feel sad and need cheering up.

My Playlist
•Problem by Ariana Grande
•Tainted love by Marilyn Manson
•Heaven knows by ThePrettyWreckless •Shades of cool by Lana del Rae
•West coast by The neighbourhood
•Brianstorm by Arctic Monkeys
•This is the new shit by MarilynManson •New by Paul McCartney
•Here Comes the sun by The Beatles
•Runaways by The Killers
•Sleep alone by Two door cinema club
•Two Fingers by Jake Bugg
•Holy grail by Jay-z

So that’s my playlist, I hope you like it. Comment your summer song down below💕

Summer Fun

Hello everyone!
Does anyone else plan to have an amazing summer, but September just comes around sooner than expected and you haven’t done anything you were hoping to? If this is you, I have the perfect solution, a bucketlist. If you don’t know what a bucketlist is, it’s basically a list of things you want to do. For example, it could be something as simple as what you want to do before summer is out or something bigger like a list of things to do before you die:
• Tip #1: Be Realistic
What I mean by this is set simple goals. For example, don’t write ‘Travel The World,’ you cannot travel the world in 2 months. A smaller, achievable goal would be to travel around one country.
• Tip #2: Make plans
If you are going out with friends try to arrange for the outing to be something from your bucket list. This will make it easier to complete and also you will enjoy it more with company from your friends.
Also, get your friends involved, convince your friends to write bucket lists of their own and compile them into one ultimate summer bucketlist. Doing this with your friends will make you more likely to finish your bucketlist as your friends will encourage you.
• Tip #3: Add to your bucketlist
As the summer progresses you will find new activities that attract your attention, feel free to add these to your list. Just as you will find new things to add to your list you will also get bored with some of the activities on your list. When this happens I recommend you remove them. It is good to remove activities as you add more to your list, if you have too many things to do on your list you will become overwhelmed and you will not complete it.

My Summer Bucketlist
Keep in mind that I have drafted and re drafted to make my list just right. My list is not perfect and will change overtime but I will keep you updated on my twitter @mylifeopinions_
As you will see my list largely involves my dog as I haven’t had him for long.
1. House train my dog and teach him the basic commands, sit, stay and fetch.
2. Go on a walk through the country everyday with my dog.
3. Bring my dog to the beach at least once.
4. Gardening. Fix up my front and back garden for when we move houses.
5. Achieve perfect clear skin and grow my hair.
6. Build a sandcastle.
7. Tie-Dye a shirt.
8. Go to a theme park.
9. Make a summer playlist.
10. Eat a healthy breakfast everyday.
11. Start a collection.
12. Send a message in a bottle.
13. Do a jigsaw puzzle.
14. Learn a cool card trick.
15. Win a goldfish.
16. Finish my summer reading list.
17. Take a photo a day.
18. Write a fan letter.
19. See the sunrise and sunset and take a photo of each.
20. Make and wear a bracelet I made myself.

I am very sorry this post was so long but I hope you enjoyed. Feel free to take inspiration from my bucketlist and if you do please tweet or instagram it with the hashtag #lifeopinionsbucketlist or post it in the comments below. Also like and comment what my next post should be.
Thank you💕

“I recently lost all of my closest friends and gained a lot of weight. I feel like because of this weight gain I have lost a lot of my confidence. I have tried all types of diets but nothing works, I always end up breaking them after a day. Please help me lose weight.” From self-conscious teenager

Dear self-conscious teenager,
I can totally empathise with you. I too lost some close friends last year.
I found that because I was unhappy about losing my closest friends I was eating more than usual and this lead to my weight gain. Maybe this is what’s happening to you?
If this is the case I recommend you really put yourself out there, join a club, socialise, just try to make friends. Having more friends will make you happier and then you won’t feel the need to comfort eat.
If this is not the case then I recommend you eat healthy and exercise. Notice how I said eat healthy instead or ‘diet.’ This is because diets are only temporary and even if you do lose some of the weight you are almost guaranteed to put it back on when you go back to your regular eating. However, eating healthy is a permanent lifestyle change which will help to get your body into a routine. Eating healthily does NOT involve starving yourself, you should never starve yourself as it slows down your metabolism, decreases the oxygen supply to your brain and is not an effective weight loss technique. Now that we’re talking about metabolism let me give you a few tips. Instead of eating 3 large meals a day I would encourage you to eat 5 smaller meals per day, this speeds up your metabolism which will result in quicker weight loss. If you are hungry between meals I recommend snacking on fruit or high fibre foods rather than sugary sweets. Not only does this contribute to weight loss it also helps to clear skin and will give you more energy.
Exercise is also very important when trying to lose weight. Note that you do not have to do any strenuous cardio or intense weight training, all it takes is one or two walks a day and maybe some squats and crunches to help get a tones stomach and thighs. I recommend trying the 30 day ab challenge and the 30 day squat challenge, they really helped me.
Please don’t over do your weight loss, if you have a target weight do stick to it! Don’t lower it. Once you have reached your goal weight work on maintaining it rather than losing even more weight.💕
Please remember that looking good isn’t the only way to make yourself happy. If you have good looks but no friends or social life, you will be very bored. So I encourage you to take control of your weight loss rather than it controlling you💕

If anyone else has any recommendations/questions for my next post feel free to respond in the comments or dm me on twitter: @mylifeopinions_ or instagram: @mylifeopinions
As always, thank you for reading🍉

Summer Reading List 2014

Hello everyone!
Sorry it’s been a while since I last talked to you but I’ve been busy with school and visiting family and I honestly haven’t had time. Also I haven’t decided on a posting schedule, I’m considering posting everyday with three book reviews a week, or only posting 3 book reviews a week without daily updates. To stay up to date on this please go follow me on instagram: @mylifeopinions twitter:mylifeopinions_

Anyway, I went to the beach today with my family and I honestly had such a great time! And as it’s summer and everyone is going to have a lot of free time on their hands I decided to make a summer reading challenge. Basically, I will list 8 books which makes 1 book per summer week. I will be reading along with you guys and write a book review of one of the books each week!

Summer Reading List;
*The Book Thief by Markus zusak
*The Collector by John Fowles
*The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury
*The Armageddon Rag by George R. R. Martin
*Fevre Dream by George R. R. Martin
*Lord of the Flies by William Goulding
*The Shining by Stephen King
*It’s kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini

I purposely chose books that I have never read before as I wanted this to be an experience shared with my followers this summer.
Also, I will be giving away a book of your choice. All you have to do is follow this blog, follow my instagram and Twitter accounts linked above and let me know what I should review next!
Thank you my lovelies for reading💕

The Perks of Being a Wallflower//Stephen Chbosky

The perks of being a wallflower is set in 1980s America and is a compilation of letters that 16 year old Charlie has written, anonymously, to a stranger. Charlie begins writing these letters just before his first day of high school and uses them as a sort of therapeutic activity. In the letters we learn of Charlie’s dead middle-school friend and how he struggled greatly with this loss. Charlie writes down all his thoughts and experiences through his first year of high school. When Charlie first starts high school he is a ‘loner,’ he has no friends, Sits by himself and is considered an English nerd. Charlie forms a close relationship with his English teacher whom he relies on for advice and this is where we get the famous quote, ‘we accept the love we think we deserve.’ In time, Charlie forms a friendship with two seniors, Sam and Patrick. It is clear from their first meeting that Charlie has strong feelings for sam and this is consistent throughout the book. Patrick is a homosexual who is having a secret fling with a boy who is unwilling to admit he is gay. This causes a lot of problems for Patrick and this is also something that strengthens his friendship with Charlie.
Charlie is a very troubled, paranoid teenager who always put others’ happiness before his own. Charlie has a love hate relationship with his dead auntie which cause hallucinations, blackouts and confusion in Charlie’s mind which causes Charlie to end up in a psychiatric unit.
I honestly fell in love with Charlie, he had to mature a lot quicker than most boys which makes him more caring and considerate of other peoples feelings and emotions. Although Charlie is very mature for his age his is also surprisingly innocent at the same time and would never intentionally hurt anyone for no reason. Charlie is a very genuine person and this trate of his shines though in everything he says and does.
Charlie, same and Patrick and three of the most amazing friends I have ever heard of, they share so many memories and experiences together and have a very strong and rare bond with each other.
Overall I would have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book although I was in quite a low mood whilst reading it. I highly recommend every teenager reads this book as I feel like it relates to problems every teenager will encounter at some point in their life. I feel like this should be on everyone’s summer reading list as it is a very easy read perfect for summer relaxation.
Thank you so much for reading my review, I know it was very long and I am sorry for that and I will try to shorten my next one. But if you liked it make sure to like this and let me know in the comments what I should review next💕
